Here is a roundup of the biggest stories from the news in Kenilworth this June.

Alongside a host of planning applications, and a number of high profile council decisions, the last four weeks have seen Nub News cover everything from HS2 and fundraisers to local business successes.

Community News

One of a number of community events this June was the return of the Kenilworth Carnival which saw hundreds of locals line the streets to cheer on the parade. But organisers say there is now an urgent need to find sponsorship for the to make sure the popular event can take place again next year.

Residents also headed to Abbey Fields for the Kenilworth Lions Grand Show, where a Spitfire flew over the town.

The Kenilworth Show also made a successful return at the start of the month, attracting thousands of guests to Stoneleigh.

Meanwhile the streets of Kenilworth and Warwick were taken over by runners during the Two Castles Run.

Kenilworth has also been named as one of the top 50 small towns and cities in the UK by property agents Savills.

Organisers have thanked the many local residents who came out to support the town's open gardens event, despite the wet weather last month.
