Locals were out in their hundreds to cheer on the Kenilworth Carnival Parade today (June 24).

With the sun shining, the streets were filled with residents as the string of floats were led by a marching band through the town.

Starting at the bottom of Forrest Road, the procession made its way around Abbey Fields, before looping through Waverley Road, St John's Street and making its way back to Abbey End.

Both Mayor of Kenilworth Cllr Alix Dearing and the town's MP Sir Jeremy Wright joined in, collecting money from the crowd.

Floats included local Scouts, the Talisman Theatre's Youth Theatre, Treehouse Bookshop and Kenilworth Rugby Club.

Abbey Fields was also busy with families enjoying Bob Wilson's Funfair, and the various stalls.

And on Sunday the Picnic in the Park will return to Abbey Fields, with stalls and live music available throughout the day.
