Kenilworth Town Council

The new town council met fully for the first time this month, following the local elections.

A local councillor has continued to call on his county colleagues to fix a section of pavement in Kenilworth town centre, which floods every time there is heavy rain.

A Kenilworth councillor has been suspended by his party following a complaint, just a month after being elected for the first time.

Councillors have called for answers over the continued delays to the new swimming pool in Abbey Fields.

Warwick District Council

Warwick District Council (WDC) has said it intends to take part in 'No Mow May' again next summer - despite continued concerns from residents over the past few weeks.

More fish will be removed from Abbey Fields lake in the coming weeks, and plans to raise the water levels in the lake are being explored. 

A draft agreement for how the new Kenilworth School will be used by the local community has been revealed.

Eagle-eyed residents will now be able to spot some brand new designs on the side of the council's recycling vehicles.

Local councils have shared an urgent warning to residents after a fire in a bin lorry earlier this month.

The deputy chief executive of Stratford-on-Avon District Council says a new joint local plan with Warwick District Council remains on track despite political changes.

Warwickshire County Council

Warwickshire County Council is giving out condoms to try to curb a rise in under-18 pregnancy.

Timely highways assessments for planning applications are proving a challenge for Warwickshire County Council due to trouble finding and keeping staff.

Two new dropped curbs have been installed on a residential street in Kenilworth, to make crossing the road safer.

A reduction in the amount of waste collected across Warwickshire is a reflection of people tightening their belts. 

Roads around St John's roundabout in Kenilworth will be closed at the end of June for resurfacing, the council has confirmed.

Roadworks along Glasshouse Lane are expected to continue into October, the latest update by Warwickshire County Council has confirmed.
