Organisers have thanked the many local residents who came out to support the town's open gardens event, despite the wet weather last weekend.

Twelve gardens across the town invited locals to look around on Sunday (18 June) as part of the National Garden Scheme's nationwide event.

While there were more storms on Sunday, some 400 visitors headed to the open gardens across the town, raising £3,400 for the scheme's nursing charities.

Liz Watson NGS county organiser for Warwickshire said: "I wanted to thank everyone who supported our Open Gardens Event last Sunday.

"Despite the dreadful weather we had 400 visitors to our gardens and raised £3,400 for the National Garden Scheme Nursing Charities.

"A big thank you to all those hardy visitors who braved the rain."

In Kenilworth there were a wide variety of different gardens to enjoy including the community garden in Talisman Square.
