Kenilworth Town Council

A Kenilworth town councillor and former parliamentary candidate has left the Green Party saying the local group "no longer shares my values".

Visitors to Kenilworth's Abbey Fields will be able to journey back to the 16th century with the launch of an innovative augmented reality experience next year.

Kenilworth Town Council has launched a new initiative to welcome new residents to the town so they feel part of the local community.

The town council says it is "getting there" on a project which could see a former landfill site into a public open space.

Station Road has been identified as a key issue for improving accessibility for disabled people in Kenilworth.

Warwick District Council

Three sites around Kenilworth have been put into a final shortlist of possible new housing sites as the local councils look to plan where 30,000 new homes will be built in South Warwickshire.

Hatton has been listed as one of the favoured locations for a 'new settlement' as part of the new South Warwickshire Local Plan.

Young families' five-year wait for a Kenilworth park to be refurbished look set to come to an end next year following an announcement by local Liberal Democrat councillors.

There are "difficult decisions" ahead for top councillors and council officers as they choose where some 35,000 new houses will be built in South Warwickshire.

Two new toucan crossings look set to be included in a major project which could finally see a designated cycle route created in Abbey Fields.

Plans to move Kenilworth Wardens Sports Club across town and turn their current ground into a new housing estate have been shelved.

A councillor has asked what the district council is doing to make sure traffic "chaos" is avoided when the A46 is closed for nearly a month next year.

Councillors will discuss plans to renovate the play area at Kenilworth's Castle Farm.

Sorry seemed to be the hardest word for a senior Warwick councillor who admitted to "poor form" in a council meeting but then refused to apologise.

The district council has been criticised for a lack of communication over plans to turn the former Kenilworth School sites into new housing estates.

Charges at Castle Farm could be a solution to the parking issues problems by local residents, a top councillor at Warwick District Council has said.

Warwickshire County Council

A Warwickshire councillor querying working conditions for teachers was urged to take a history lesson of his own as a discussion over pay got political.

Warwickshire councillors have been warned that a £15 million black hole in social care and support for adults is unlikely to be cut this financial year. 

Leader Izzi Seccombe has asked Warwickshire County Council to publish updates on the delayed new roundabout over the A46 in Kenilworth following accusations of "secrecy" and "mismanagement".
