Police are appealing for information after sheep in a Kenilworth field were attacked in the early hours of Saturday morning (November 30).

A ram was killed and several pregnant ewes were reportedly attacked by dogs during the incident on farmland off Birmingham Road between Red Lane and Meer End Road.

An unknown vehicle was driven across multiple fields, causing damage to the land, gates and electric fences.

Police believe the offenders were hare coursing or poaching.

"It is believed dog(s) were let loose on the land, which resulted in a ram dying and a sheep being injured," a Warwickshire Police statement said.

"The vehicle was also driven through a field with pregnant ewes.

"It is suspected the individuals were hare coursing/poaching.

"If you have information relating to the above offence, please call/email Kenilworth SNT on the below details and quote crime reference 23/51011/24. Alternatively call CRIMESTOPPERS on 0800 555 111."
