Kenilworth Runners braved the elements in the Leicestershire Chase the Sun at Prestwold Hall last week, in a race which organisers may wish to change the name of due to the appalling weather conditions.

Four options were on the table for those four Kenilworth Runners who took on strong wind and horizontal rain - they could opt to run either 5k, 10k, 10 miles or one mile around the flat and fast airfield at Prestwold Hall.

Colin Bailey completed the 145-mile Grand Union Canal ultramarathon last weekend

A member of Kenilworth Runners has completed the 145-mile Grand Union Canal ultra-marathon, beating his expected finishing time by nearly three hours.

Colin Bailey joined 89 other runners who covered the huge distance from Gas Street Basin in Birmingham down to Little Venice in London following the Grand Union Canal last weekend.

A new Sunday youth side will be started by Kenilworth Wardens Football Club next season as they look to provide a 'vitally important' path for young players into men's football.

Under the management of Paddy Breslin, the Wardens' under 18's will begin next season in the Leamington and District Sunday Football League, giving young players vital experience in men's football.

All three Kenilworth Cricket Club sides tasted victory this Saturday, as the Warwick Road-based club collected a hat trick of wins.

The first XI hosted Standard in the Warwickshire Cricket League Division One, claiming their first win of the season. Whilst the second and third XI's claimed comfortable victories over Fillongley and Alvechurch & Hopwood respectively.

A ferocious opening burst from debutant paceman George Scrimshaw blasted Kenilworth Wardens to a convincing 108-run Birmingham Premier League Division Two home win over Oswestry.

The towering Derbyshire seamer made light of a wet pitch and difficult run-ups to claim 3-17 from a seven-over opening salvo which was almost certainly the quickest ever delivered by a player in a Wardens shirt.
