Kenilworth CC Sunday XI victorious in friendly fixture

Bablake Old Boys 55-10 (21.2 overs) lost the Kenilworth Sunday XI 56-2 (16.2 overs) by 8 wickets in this Sunday's 40-over friendly match.

Bablake crashed to 55 all-out against good Kenilworth bowling with, extras (17 of them) being the top scorer for the Old Boys, as none of their batsmen made double figures.

Teenagers Dan Barrie took 3-7 from his 5 overs, removing the Bablake top three.

Dan Roden was 2-4 from his 3 overs spell, Kieran Umashanker 2-3 from 2.4 overs, whilst Charlie Stranks took 2-6 from 6 overs, and James Sparks 1-26.

In reply, it took only 16.2 overs for Kenilworth to reach 56-2.

Opener Shyaan Imam made an unbeaten 23 to guide the side to an easy victory alongside Jono Sparks (16 not out), as the pair put on 38 runs together.

Atkinson took 2-10 off his 6 overs for the visitors.
