Folly Lane C's came from behind to rescue a point at Glasshouse Lane

Kenilworth Wardens Reserves were unlucky to not win an entertaining fixture against Folly Lane C, with the game ending 1-1.

The Wardens started with the 4-3-3 formation with served them well towards the end of last week's game at Craven Athletic, but had to defend from the get go, with full back Ross Farquharson defending well at the back post to deny the visitors an early opportunity.

Lichfield came from behind to score 26 unanswered points and seal victory over Kenilworth in the eagerly awaited top of the table clash in Midlands One West.

The biggest Glasshouse Lane crowd since Kenilworth's Intermediate Semi Final enjoyed a pulsating game of rugby in fabulous sunshine, which left the thirsty onlookers queuing at the new outside bar to refresh themselves throughout an entertaining afternoon.

Kenilworth Wardens Reserves were unfortunate to lose an extremely tight game away at high-flying Craven Athletic, finding themselves on the wrong end of a refereeing decision in a 2-1 defeat.

Bouncing back from their disappointment two weeks previously against Stockingford, Wardens set up in a 4-4-2 formation, looking to build from the back, use their strength up front and be solid defensively.

A lot of runners therefore had long waited for this opportunity to run the famous route around the capital city.
