All three Kenilworth Cricket Club sides tasted victory this Saturday, as the Warwick Road-based club collected a hat trick of wins.

The first XI hosted Standard in the Warwickshire Cricket League Division One, claiming their first win of the season. Whilst the second and third XI's claimed comfortable victories over Fillongley and Alvechurch & Hopwood respectively.

A ferocious opening burst from debutant paceman George Scrimshaw blasted Kenilworth Wardens to a convincing 108-run Birmingham Premier League Division Two home win over Oswestry.

The towering Derbyshire seamer made light of a wet pitch and difficult run-ups to claim 3-17 from a seven-over opening salvo which was almost certainly the quickest ever delivered by a player in a Wardens shirt.

Wardens' planned Warwickshire derby clash with Dorridge was one of four round five games abandoned without a ball being bowled after the entire six-match card had bitten the dust seven days earlier.

Kenilworth Wardens edged a thrilling Birmingham Premier League division two contest at Pelsall by one run to stretch their unbeaten start to the season to three games.

The hosts looked dead and buried when their response to Wardens' 240 all out floundered at 138 for six. But seventh wicket pair Tom Wright and Andy Bentley then added 94 impressive runs, and when the latter smashed three consecutive sixes from Ali Zaryab's 48th over Pelsall were firm favourites.
