A brilliant unbeaten hundred from Harry Johnson combined with some explosive hitting from Tom Mordey to see Kenilworth Wardens to a thrilling come-from-behind win over Wolverhampton.

At 132 for six the home side's pursuit of a rain-adjusted 45-over target of 251 looked a forlorn hope until the seventh wicket pair blasted 98 quickfire runs.

We spoke to Kenilworth Sporting manager Martin Ascroft ahead of the new season

Kenilworth Sporting's manager Martin Ascroft has said he is "looking forward to the challenge" of the new season, but remains "very cautious" as his side start their first Midland Football League Division Two game this Saturday.

Sporting will host fellow newly promoted side Inkberrow, whom they finished just three points ahead of when the season was abandoned in November.
