Kenilworth Town Council

A report presented to Kenilworth Town Council has given an update on all the major housing projects across the town.

Local people must be involved in deciding what to do with the permanently closed section of Station Road - according to a town councillor.

Town councillors have objected to plans to build 220 homes across two sites on the current Kenilworth Rugby Club grounds.

Councillors have praised the success of a council group aiming to promote cycling across Kenilworth.

Residents along Warwick Road have said they do not want speed bumps right up to St John's roundabout.

Town councillors have unanimously supported an application from Kenilworth School for £140,000 to help "transform" the hall at the new Glasshouse Lane site into a "versatile event space for the benefit of all".

A Kenilworth councillor has warned that the worst is soon to come, as HS2 steps up works around the town.

A full list of candidates has been announced ahead of the 2023 Kenilworth Town Council election, taking place this May.

Warwick District Council

Green-fingered residents, who wish to continue having their garden waste collected, have been reminded to renew their green bin subscriptions.

The latest update on Kenilworth's two new leisure centres has been released by the council.

Warwickshire County Council

Warwickshire County Council has set out a timetable to distribute almost £7 million worth of cost-of-living payments over the next year. 

Real-time data is "desperately needed" to bring down suicide rates in Warwickshire that are above neighbouring areas and the national average.

More than one million illegal cigarettes worth around £800,000 were seized in the last 18 months by Warwickshire County Council's trading standards service.

A decision on free bus travel for carers accompanying disabled people is set to be expedited after a plea to Warwickshire County Council. 

A series of works along Glasshouse Lane have begun as part of preparations for the new Kenilworth School.

Government funding to support the economy in Warwickshire is expected to be around a third less than what was available from the European Union.

Businesses in Warwickshire may be able to get the salaries of apprentices paid for up to three months as part of a programme to improve uptake across the county.
