Kenilworth Runners recorded an impressive 23-minute win at the Cotswold Hilly 100 last weekend to seal their 11th victory in 14 years.

Seven Kenilworth teams took on the annual 100-mile relay race last Sunday, with each runner completing a 10-mile leg.

Two members of Kenilworth Runners have completed their debut ultra-marathons at the South Downs 100k event.

Sam Garforth and Mary Scott completed joined 141 other runners covering the 100km distance between Arundel and Eastbourne over the bank holiday weekend.

Kenilworth Runners braved the elements in the Leicestershire Chase the Sun at Prestwold Hall last week, in a race which organisers may wish to change the name of due to the appalling weather conditions.

Four options were on the table for those four Kenilworth Runners who took on strong wind and horizontal rain - they could opt to run either 5k, 10k, 10 miles or one mile around the flat and fast airfield at Prestwold Hall.

A member of Kenilworth Runners has completed the 145-mile Grand Union Canal ultra-marathon, beating his expected finishing time by nearly three hours.

Colin Bailey joined 89 other runners who covered the huge distance from Gas Street Basin in Birmingham down to Little Venice in London following the Grand Union Canal last weekend.

Kenilworth Runners have taken on Larkstoke Hill in the climax of this year's Tempo Winter Series.

This perennial favourite consists of five races from October through to February on the same 10km course which takes in Ilmington village and Larkstoke hill, which is the highest point in Warwickshire.

The Wright Hassall Leamington Regency 10k Run, which is entering its 18th year, will take place on Sunday, September 19 at 9am after organisers decided to move the event to later in the year.

The annual 10km run between the castles in Warwick and Kenilworth will not take place in June 2021.

Originally scheduled for Sunday, June 13, the date has been cancelled with organisers at Kenilworth Rotary and Leamington Cycling and Athletics Club considering whether an event later in the year may be possible.

As with so many things in 2020, last year's Kenilworth Half Marathon had to be cancelled due to the pandemic, however the new year has started with good news as this year's edition is set to take place.

Due to take place on Sunday, September 12 the 2021 Kenilworth Half Marathon will see competitors return to the streets of the town once again to take part in one of the biggest community events of the year.

After many months of limited racing options, a second local option took place last weekend with the annual Leicestershire 10km taking place at Prestwold Hall on Sunday (October 25).

While a larger event than the Ilmington, a lot of the same methods were in place to ensure social distancing and to protect participants and the public.

The Tempo Winter Series kicked off this week as ten Kenilworth Runners entered the first slightly-altered 10km race.

The series returned this week with the organisers having gone to great lengths to arrange the event in such a way to minimise the risk of Coronavirus transmission.
