A local councillor has continued to call on his county colleagues to fix a section of pavement in Kenilworth town centre, which floods every time there is heavy rain.

Speaking at the most recent Kenilworth Town Council meeting, Cllr Richard Dickson said he has continued to ask Warwickshire County Council to sort the surface on Warwick Road.

Having raised the issue on a number of occasions, the Liberal Democrat member said only slow progress was being made.

"It is still on the radar to be done at some stage," he told councillors.

"But when we get heavy storms like we had in the past few days, automatically outside Costa and Joe Richards store, it floods.

"It is not a good site for visitors to the town or for local residents.

"But I wanted to reassure you that the county council is on the case."
