Time is running out to sign up for the Kenilworth Half Marathon this September.

The annual run returns for its 23rd instalment on Sunday, September 10.

This year runners will complete the single lap from the town centre down to Beausale and back.

Organised by Kenilworth Runners, this year's event will also feature a 5km run for competitors to take part in.

Entry for the half marathon starts at £30 and can be completed here.

In 2022, over 600 runners took to the local roads, with Kenilworth Runner's Paddy Roddy crossing the line first, completing the course in a race record time of 1:07:31.

Kelly Edwards was the first woman to cross the line. The Leamington C&AC runner completed the course in 1:21:06.

The event website says: "Our one lap Half Marathon takes the journey from the Race Start on the High Street, through the Historical & Picturesque 12th Century Kenilworth Castle, out into the beautiful Warwickshire countryside and back, all on closed roads.

"To help reduce wastage we’ve separated the t-shirt from the entry price.

"Our famous long sleeved technical T-shirts can be ordered during race entry for £8 each and will be waiting for you at the finish!"

Signs up are open here.
