Here are our top picks for the coming days.

1. Gin, Tonic & Tales

"From patrolling the streets of Sangin to crawling into Insurgent underground tunnel networks in the mountains of Afghanistan".

East Chase Distillers co-founder Richie will take guests through a raw and personal account of his life within UK Special Forces on Saturday (April 13) - over a glass or two of Heritage Gin.

From his early days in the Royal Marines; to embarking, at the age of 22, on the ruthless selection process required in joining Special Forces; losing friends in both training and combat; conducting night-raids within the Insurgent Mountain strongholds of Afghanistan.

2. Jewellery Making

Have you ever wanted to design and make your own jewellery?

Come and join myleti jewellery for a creative workshop, making and carving either your very own ring or pendant necklace at the Basement Snug!

The workshop focuses on the ancient jewellery making technique of wax carving which is a "really relaxing and therapeutic way" to make jewellery.

You'll learn about the lost wax casting process and you will be provided with the tools you need to carve, shape and texture your ring or pendant.

More details here.

3. On Golden Pond

On Golden Pond starts at the Priory Theatre on Friday 12 April.

The show is described as: "A touching, funny and warmly perceptive study of a spirited and lovable elderly couple facing their twilight years."
