Here are the biggest Kenilworth planning stories from the past week.
Houses on Potentially Contaminated Land
Plans to build three homes on potentially contaminated land in Kenilworth have been objected to by the town council.
The scheme, submitted by S&S Developments, would see two four-bed houses and a bungalow built on Farmer Ward Road.
But a site inspection report said there was "a risk of cyanide contamination across the site".

Stables Snubbed for Second Time
Town councillors have objected to plans to build another block of wooden stables on Purlieu Lane - for a second time.
Kenilworth Town Council's planning committee originally went against the Hammonds Barn scheme when proposals were first submitted in September 2021.
Members said the scheme was too big and was inappropriate development in the greenbelt.
After the original application was withdrawn, a smaller design was resubmitted but the town council has maintained its position.Read the full story here.

Pub's 'Neglected' Front Terrace
The Green Man pub has revealed plans to build a new shelter and redecorate its front terrace.
If approved the scheme would see a single-storey extension built by the main entrance of the Warwick Road venue.
Plans, which were submitted by owner Mitchells and Butlers, said the renovations would "complement and enhance" the outdoor area and "prolong the longevity and use of the space".
-------------
Junction Safety Measures
Funding from the HS2 Road Safety Fund is set to pay for junction warning signs at the Windy Arbour/Leyes Lane intersection in Kenilworth.
Nearly £600,000 has been earmarked for projects across Warwickshire, drawn down from the £8.045m made available to Warwickshire County Council to be spent on road safety in locations closely associated with the route of the railway.
-------------
Holiday Cabin Refused
Plans to build a holiday cabin on an overgrown tennis court in Burton Green have been refused by Warwick District Council.
The scheme, submitted by Napton Marina Ltd, would have seen a three-bed timber cabin built off Hob Lane next to a former water tower that has already been converted into a holiday let.
But district planners said the building was too big - six metres wide and more than twice as long - and was "inappropriate" use of green belt land.

Footbridge Plans
Residents are to have their say on plans to turn the Clarke's Avenue, Farmer Ward Road bridge into a joint cycle and walkway.
Kenilworth Town Council and Warwickshire County Council have opened a public consultation.
Residents have until the end of the month to voice their opinions.
