Both Kenilworth School and Westwood Academy are celebrating today's (August 13) exam results.

Across both schools, strong results at A-Level and alternative post-16 courses have been sustained for another year.

The percentage of students achieving top grades of A* and A at Kenilworth School and Sixth Form was an impressive 31 per cent.

At The Westwood Academy 18 per cent achieved A* and A grades, which includes 5.4 per cent of students achieving the much-coveted A* grade, a significant improvement from 4.2 per cent last summer.

Results across grades B to E remain broadly similar to those achieved over the last five years.

Kenilworth Multi Academy Trust - of which both schools are part of - has also celebrated the "particularly impressive" range of pathways that students have chosen to pursue, based on "excellent guidance" from the careers team and "increased employer engagement through work experience and other careers events".

Deborah Talbot, Headteacher at The Westwood Academy said: "We are incredibly proud of our A-level students and all they have achieved.

"This year saw an increase in the proportion of the very highest A* grades awarded, alongside some exceptional individual performances and students securing multiple A and A* grades.

"These achievements reflect the hard work, determination and resilience of our students, together with the commitment of the staff and families who have supported them throughout their studies.

"We are immensely proud of all of our students and wish them every success as they take their exciting next steps into university, apprenticeships, employment and further study'.
