Fantastic footage has shown off the progress on a new 99-house development currently under construction in Kenilworth.

The clips have been shared by Miller Homes, the developer behind Southcrest Rise off Glasshouse Lane.

The site, which was given planning permission in August 2022, is due to be fully finished by March next year.

Homes went on sale in early 2023, with the 'Oxford' style show home opening to customers for the first time last February.

Since then Miller Homes has made quick progress on site, with the first buyers moving into their new homes for the first time last summer.

"We are really pleased with our progress at Southcrest Rise," the Miller Homes team said.

"We put a huge amount of care into the houses we build, but the story's not finished until we match them up with the right people.

"And, once you've chosen a Miller home, we'll do everything we can to make the rest of the process easy, even enjoyable.

"From the moment you make your decision until you've settled happily in, we'll be there to help."

An agreement has also been announced with housing association Platform to provide 24 homes for social rent, 10 for affordable rent and six for shared ownership at Southcrest Rise.

Work on the affordable homes is also underway.

The new clips also show off the solar panels which are featured on many of the properties. All the properties on the prestige development are ultra energy-efficient, which means residents will benefit from lower energy bills too.

The footage comes hot on the heels of last weekend's open event at Southcrest Rise where locals were given the chance to see inside one of the new £1 million homes on offer at the development.

Guests were able to see inside one of only two new 'Windsor' style houses which will be available to move into this March.

With 2,400 sq.ft. of space split over three floors, the Windsor is the largest home built by Miller Homes and comes with a stunning kitchen with breakfast bar, dining space and French doors to the garden.

Four bedrooms are split on the first floor, with the top floor dedicated to the huge principal bedroom. As well as an en-suite, it also has a separate dressing room, big enough to become a sixth bedroom, or to put to a multitude of other uses.

As part of the development's section 106 investments, Miller Homes will be contributing more than £2 million to the local area

The money will be spent on education, transport and sporting facilities, with more than £980,000 to go towards early years, primary and secondary education and £176,721 set to go towards creating a new community centre.
