Potential house buyers and local residents have been given a sneak-peek inside the new show home at a 99-house estate under construction in Kenilworth.

Miller Homes opened its new five-bedroom show home at Southcrest Rise in May.

Trevor Blake, regional head chef for Peach Pubs - which runs The Almanack in Kenilworth – was on hand to show guests how to cook the perfect brunch on the opening day.

But for those who have not yet been to see the new 'Oxford' style house at the Glasshouse Lane development, photos and a short video have been released showing off the fully furnished interior.

Complete with a double garage, two en-suite bedrooms and an impressive kitchen with a central island, the show home shows off the high quality of homes on offer at the new development.

"This is an unmistakably distinguished family home," development sales manager Michelle Hill said.

"The island style kitchen, with bi-fold doors and rooflights, merges with the garden to introduce a wonderfully natural ambience.

"Featuring twin bay windows in the study and lounge, French doors in the formal dining room and two en-suite bedrooms, it raises residential architecture to the highest standards of luxury."

As work on the first 25 homes continues, the first residents are expected to move in during August.

The whole site - which sits next to the new Kenilworth School - is expected to be complete in 2025.

And as part of the development, Miller Homes will be contributing more than £2 million to the local area.

The money will be spent on education, transport and sporting facilities, with more than £980,000 to go towards early years, primary and secondary education and £176,721 set to go towards creating a new community centre.
