Kenilworth Wardens have hit their stride at the right time this season as they eye up another cup final this Friday (April 18).

Having hammered Coventry Phoenix in the semi-final, the Glasshouse Lane outfit will face Brinklow in the Senior Nursing Cup Final at the Bedworth oval this weekend.

Wardens go into the game in good form, having won their last four on the spin.

But with their only defeat in their last nine games coming at the hands of Brinklow, player-manager Eamonn Richards was not getting carried away ahead of Friday's clash.

"Brinklow are an excellent side, third in the league in their first year in the Permiership," he told Nub News.

"They play brilliant quick football and will be firm favourites, especially considering they have beaten us twice already this season.

"But the second half of the season we've been excellent, the young lads we have in the squad have continued to grow and develop and that has finally started to show with the results.

"Despite knowing Brinklow are favourites and how excellent they are we're confident if we play as we can be we can get the result we want."

And ahead of the game, Richards encouraged as many locals to head to north Warwickshire to get behind his players.

"Having fans, friends and family down make all the difference," he added.

"We're fortunate that this is our fourth cup final in five full seasons since we reformed and the support on the previous three occasions have been absolutely key.

"So we would love as many people down as possible!"
