GALLERY: See the work underway on 99-house estate being built in Kenilworth
New photos taken this week have shown off the progress on a new 99-house development currently being built next to Kenilworth School.
Five-star rated house builder Miller Homes is well underway constructing its Southcrest Rise development off Glasshouse Lane.
Work began on site in late 2022, and the final homes are due to be finished by March of next year.
The first home buyers moved in last summer, just months after Millers' 'Oxford' style show home opened for the first time.
The sales team at Southcrest Rise told Nub News many buyers had come from the local area, with others also returning to Kenilworth having previously moved away.
They also said the new secondary school next door was a big pull for buyers.
"We are really pleased with our progress at Southcrest Rise," the Miller Homes team said.
"We put a huge amount of care into the houses we build, but the story's not finished until we match them up with the right people.
"We have had lots of interest in our range of homes, and there really is something to suit everyone at Southcrest Rise.
"So why not come down and find your new home, today."
Work is also underway on the 40 affordable homes that will be built on site, with Miller Homes announcing an agreement with housing association Platform at the end of 2023.
Of those homes, 24 will be for social rent, 10 for affordable rent and six for shared ownership.
The images come hot on the heels of the recent open event at Southcrest Rise where locals were given the chance to see inside one of the new £1 million homes on offer at the development.
Guests were able to see inside one of only two new 'Windsor' style houses which is now available to move into.
Keep an eye out for Kenilworth Nub News' upcoming feature looking inside the stunning new home.
As part of the development's section 106 investments, Miller Homes will be contributing more than £2 million to the local area.
The money will be spent on education, transport and sporting facilities, with more than £980,000 to go towards early years, primary and secondary education and £176,721 set to go towards creating a new community centre.
