Here are the biggest Kenilworth planning stories from the past week.
Plans to build 620 houses along Glasshouse Lane were approved by councillors who were told they could not consider the environmental impact of the new estate.
Members tried to defer making a decision on the application at last night's (November 9) Warwick District Council planning meeting saying there was not enough information regarding the sustainability of the new properties.
Speaking on behalf of Kenilworth Town Council - which objected to the scheme - Cllr Peter Jones described the energy efficiency plans as "poor practice and illogical".

Speedway and stock car fans are celebrating after plans to replace the historic Brandon Stadium with houses and an all-weather pitch were thrown out by councillors.
The scheme, put forward by Brandon Estates, would have drawn a line under nearly 90 years of sporting history and the decision by Rugby Borough Council offers fresh hope to campaigners hoping to see racing return to the track which has been moth-balled since 2016.
Agent Gareth Hooper told this week's planning committee that the application to pull down the stadium and redevelop the site had been on the table since 2008 and had been amended a number of times following concerns raised by neighbours and planning officers.
The latest scheme was for 124 houses, a 3G football pitch and a sports pavilion.

Detailed plans for a new ground for one of Coventry's oldest rugby clubs have been submitted to Warwick District Council.
Trinity Guild Rugby Football Club has been waiting to move to its new home since 2019 when it agreed to leave its old ground which was being redeveloped.
When outline permission was granted for the 'Gateway South' industrial site near Coventry Airport - which included the old ground - the developer agreed to build a new home for the club.

A development partner has been announced for the £3.2 billion Arden Cross development near Birmingham Airport.
The site, backed by landowners Birmingham City Council, Packington Estate and Coleshill Estate, will see 346 acres of mixed development built, creating up to 27,000 new jobs, 3,000 new homes and up to six million sq ft of new commercial and employment space.
The University of Warwick has announced a partnership agreement to create a new medical and technology campus and the first phase of the new campus could begin as early as 2024.
