Soulmates wanted! Three Kenilworth dogs looking for their 'paw-fect' match this Valentine's Day
By James Smith 14th Feb 2026
Dogs Trust Kenilworth is playing matchmaker for three long-term pooches who are howling to find their soulmate this Valentine's Day.
Together, these pooches have all been unlucky in love, having spent over 1000 days in the care of the charity.
Long-term dogs, Reign, Rory and Captain Porkchop are all hoping to set up first dates, leave the lonely-hearts-club behind them, and even find 'the one' this 14 February.
Having all spent longer than first expected with the charity, Reign, Rory and Captain Porkchop are lovingly known as Dogs Trust "Underdogs", a term the charity uses for dogs who have been waiting for their forever home for more than six months.
These dogs often require additional training, ongoing veterinary care, or have specific rehoming needs, while others are simply overlooked.
The three long-term dogs looking for their forever homes are:
Reign
Reign the Bulldog is a stunning seven-year-old Bulldog with a "playful spirit and a sensitive side".
"After almost 500 days with the charity, Reign is hoping this Valentine's Day, she will find her special person who loves adventure (and toys) just as much as she does," Dog's Trust said.
"She may seem confident at first, but Reign likes to take her time getting to know you, and once you're in her inner circle, you'll see just how affectionate and loyal she is.
"For her forever home, Reign is looking for an adult-only household where she can be the only pet. Although she has made a few canine pals for her walks, she would prefer to be the only pet in the home so that she can soak up all the love and attention for herself."

Rory
Rory is a "beautiful, fun-loving", two-year-old Whippet Cross Bull Terrier, who is "lively, affectionate and bursting with personality".
Young pooch Rory has spent over 250 days waiting to find his forever home and missed out on early socialisation with other dogs.
"This can make walks and meeting other dogs a little bit overwhelming for Rory, but he has made wonderful progress on his manners, working hard with the Dogs Trust team," Dog's Trust said.
"This delightful boy has so much love to give and is looking for a patient, committed adopter who can help him learn the life skills he has missed out on so far.
"This charming goofball loves his favourite people and is guaranteed to bring laughter and energy into any home. Rory can live with older children, but would like to be the only pooch as he settles in."

Captain Porkchop
If you are looking for a beautiful Lurcher with a whole lot of life and love to give, then look no further than Captain!
This two-year-old Lurcher has been looking for love for over 300 days, and although he can find new environments a little overwhelming, Captain has "made wonderful progress with his socialisation skills with other dogs".
The team said: "This funny boy has so much love to give, and once he is settled, loves nothing more than to roll around on the floor, getting all the love he can!
"Captain Porkchop is hoping for a slice of the quiet life, looking for an adult-only home where he can be the only pet, with adopters who can help this lovable pooch settle in at his own pace and go on lots of peaceful walks."
