A healthcare agency that has nearly 80 branches nationwide has opened a new shop in Kenilworth.

The Kare Plus franchise, run by Kavi Pryagh, opened its doors in the former Hays Travel shop in Talisman Square in October.

Kare Plus was originally launched in 1989 to supply scrub nurses to hospitals, and since 2010 has been providing staff across the healthcare industry.

In Kenilworth the shop is recruiting and training candidates to work in care homes but has "big plans" to expand its offering next year.

Senior operations executive Tracey Frisby told Nub News: "It has been really good so far, we have had a lot of interest from people within the community, from people who are seeking advice and help, right the way to building our clients and our candidates.

"It has gone really, really well!"

Kare Plus announced in June that Kavi would be launching the franchise.

Having already run a telecoms franchise the business is giving him a chance to get back to his roots as he used to work as a care assistant.

Speaking earlier in the year he said: "The main reason that I came to Kare Plus is because we share the same vision, – to deliver outstanding nursing, care and support to our local communities."

The local Kare Plus branch serves Warwickshire, Coventry and Birmingham and is already taking on a number of candidates.

Tracey added: "For us we wanted to be in the heart of Warwickshire, and we thought it would be a really good focus to be in the Kenilworth area.

"We are on the high street, there's a lot of community spirit here, and Kavi did really well in picking an ideal place to be."
