19-year-old charged after police called to violent disorder at Kenilworth pub
A 19-year-old has been charged with being drunk and disorderly in a public place after an incident of violent disorder outside a Kenilworth pub.
Jake Simmons, of Lindisfarne Drive, Kenilworth, was arrested and later charged by Warwickshire Police after an incident outside The Lion Pub on Warwick Road.
Police were called to an incident involving a group of men at 10.35pm on Saturday, December 11.
One man received hospital treatment for minor injuries and two of the pub's front windows were smashed during the incident.
Police said the incident Simmons was charged over occurred after the police's arrival at the scene and that investigations about the damage to the pub and the injuries continue.
Simmons, who was released on police bail, will appear at Coventry Magistrates Court on 21 January 2022.
A Warwickshire Police spokesperson said to Nub News: "Officers responded to a report of a violent disorder outside The Lion Public House in Warwick Road, Kenilworth, at approximately 10.35pm on Saturday 11 December.
"19-year-old Jake Simmons from Lindisfarne Drive in Kenilworth was arrested and later charged with being drunk and disorderly in a public place.
"He was released on police bail to appear before Coventry Magistrates Court on 21 January 2022.
"Investigations are ongoing regarding the property damage and injuries to the other party."
