Here is a round up of the biggest stories from the news in Kenilworth this November.

Bars and pubs have dominated the news in Kenilworth this month. Kenilworth Town Council's planning committee wrote to the district council about licensing and planning concerns at the Garden Bar at the Pavilion.

The bar's owner then had her say, and Warwick District Council has refused to comment as it "carefully considers" what is happening on site.

Across town the Cottage Inn has closed its doors just six months after opening. The owner had already announced his intentions not to extend his stay at the end of his lease, but just days later decided on the immediate closure.

Following the owner's claims that the "Kenilworth mafia" had driven him out of town, the Mayor of Kenilworth Cllr Peter Jones defended Kenilworth's "vibrant and caring" community.

The Kenilworth Light Switch on was also cancelled - for the second year in a row - but at the last minute due to weather conditions. WDC is yet to announce plans for the rearrangement.

In more positive news the town has welcomed a new artisan food shop, pop-up flower shop, and martial arts gym.

And Kenilworth has celebrated the tenth anniversary of one of the town's most popular retailers.
