Kenilworth planning this week: Salon becomes house and accountant's new signs
Below are the key planning applications in Kenilworth recently received or decided on by Warwick District Council.
Beauty salon to become flats
WDC has approved an application to turn a former beauty salon into a two-bed house.
The former Bohemia Health and Beauty shop at 15 The Square was a two-storey salon.
However the applicant has decided to return the space to a residential property because "It is virtually impossible to rent as a business due to its small size, and social distancing that would be required."
Retractable canopy for Kenilworth Lions
Kenilworth Lions has submitted an application to build a 4m retractable fabric canopy along the front of its storage unit on Farmer Ward Road.
The canopy will provide protection from the weather at Unit 3.
New signage for accountants
Bernard Rogers & Co on High Street have had new non-illuminated signs for the front and side entrances approved by the council.
And the Bank Gallery business will also have new window film graphics put up.
WDC has also received applications for:
- A single storey rear extension and garage conversion on Northvale Close.
- A large kitchen extension on Windy Arbour.
- A loft conversion on Thornby Avenue.
