Subject: Deception and Subterfuge in Wartime

A talk on how, it was not only camouflage that was developed to make the enemy think what you wanted them to think. From the Trojan Horse to the massed pipe bands of the Scottish Regiments to Operation Mincemeat. All is not what it seems.

David gave us the talk "Hidden Depths" in July 2022 regarding the Not-So-Well-Known Stories of Our Local Canals – including: The Historic and Industrial Canals of Warwick, The Longest Aqueduct in England at Bearley, the unique features of the Stratford Canal, Shrewley Tunnel and Hatton Locks.

Guests are welcome to join us for the talk and mingle with members for a drink or even lunch as part of our social event afterward.
