The University of Warwick has been named 'Esports University of the Year' for the fifth year in a row by National Student Esports, beating 111 other institutions across the country.
The news comes just days after Uswitch online gaming ranked the university top.
National Student Esports praised the University of Warwick's dedication to promoting esports and supporting student gamers.
Warwick said the university's Esports Society, which boasts over 3,000 members, has been instrumental in fostering a thriving esports community on campus.
Adele Browne, director of student experience commented: "Winning this award for the fifth consecutive year is a true testament to the hard work and dedication of our students and staff.
"Esports is an important part of student life at Warwick, and we are proud to offer a supportive and inclusive environment for our gamers."
The University of Warwick has invested heavily in esports in recent years, with the opening of a dedicated esports facility in 2021.
The facility, which features state-of-the-art equipment and technology, has been a popular hub for students interested in competitive gaming.
Caity Emery, ex-president of Warwick Esports for 2022-2023, said: "I am so proud of the entire Warwick Esports community for their hard work throughout this year to secure our 5th consecutive victory.
"Every single team, player and staff member in Warwick Esports should be filled with pride today - I am sure this win will give the fresh-faced exec team all the motivation they need to continue on our legacy next year."
