Two first half goals saw Kenilworth Wardens Reserves scalp three points from fellow promotion chasing Shilton.
Charlie Waters opened the scoring before Sean Povey doubled their tally before the break, backing up the Kenilworth side's 5-1 cup victory over Shilton the week before.
Wardens were heavily depleted with manager Adam Maltby having to step in at centre back and Kris Burbury returning up front to make a bare 11, but still managed to produce some fluid football at times.
The first chance of the game though fell to Shilton who nearly went ahead in still with their centre midfielder firing narrowly over from 25 yards.
Wardens replied with a couple of half chances of their own with Waters and Burbury both having goal-bound shots blocked.
After a period of sloppy play from both sides, the visitors made the breakthrough with a moment of real quality.
Slow build up starting with Maltby at the back set Tom Hoey away to drive forward, releasing Waters who beat his man and fired low and hard across the keeper to open the scoring.
On 35 minutes Wardens extended their lead when skipper Farquharson's long throw was flicked on by Burbury to Sean Povey whose volley on the swivel clipped the Shilton centre back on the way to beating the keeper into the corner.
On the hour mark Wardens were thankful to keeper Joe Tate for a smart stop at his near post turning the ball around the post for a corner.
Five minutes later a ball eluded the entire Kenilworth back four, leaving the striker with the goal at his mercy but a fantastic stop to his left from Tate again kept Wardens two goal lead in tact.
Speaking after the game Maltby said: "Am I happy with the performance? Not really, we were a bit sloppy in both halves and when we were good it was in patches and I'd of liked a bit more control.
"Am I happy with the result? Absolutely, arguably the most satisfying win this season.
"My keeper made two very good saves on the two occasions the back four were breached; the back four were solid.
"The three midfielders and front three all put a real shift into worked extremely hard and while the quality wasn't always there I really felt they played for the badge today. Obviously it's very pleasing as well to come here and keep a clean sheet."
