Kenilworth Warden's Sunday side returned to winning ways in some style with a 7-1 victory away at Stockton in the quarter finals of the Spa Trophies Divisional Cup.
The away side had already seen off Whitnash on penalties in the opening round.
The Wardens got off to the perfect start when Dan Twigger put them ahead early on the tenth minute, calmly slotting his shot past the onrushing keeper after a perfectly waited pass from Louis Beck.
It should have been two for Twigger two minutes later but his emphatic finish from a dangerous Toby Wells cross was harshly judged to have been offside.
Undeterred, the Wardens doubled their lead on 22 minutes after a fine solo run from Ben Edmunds was converted by Twigger from close range.
Shortly after, it was the turn of Wells to get on the score sheet, taking the ball past three before arrowing a low drive into the bottom corner.
Stockton pulled one back after the otherwise spotless Andy Legg was dispossessed 20 yards from goal.
Josh Tolley still had plenty to do but took the opportunity well to provide hope for the hosts.
Unfortunately for the home side this did little to ebb the flow as Wardens captain Thomas Holmes hammered a free kick through a gap in the wall and past a substitute keeper from 25 yards.
The second half was more of the same with two more fine finishes from Twigger and a crisp volley from Edmunds taking the match further and further away from the hosts with the full time whistle blowing at 7-1.
Manager Paddy Breslin was thrilled with the performance: "We're delighted to progress to the semi finals. The tick now is to produce that type of performance consistently. Our front three were unplayable today, include the substitutions in the second half."
The Wardens will continue their league campaign this Sunday at Glasshouse Park when they face Long Itchington at 10:30am.
