Kenilworth named as second most expensive place to live in Warwickshire

Kenilworth has been named as the second most expensive town in Warwickshire to live in.

In a list compiled by online property experts Zoopla, Kenilworth has been revealed as the most expensive place to buy a house in Warwickshire, second only to Henley-in-Arden.

And with an average property price of £416,568 Kenilworth is nearly £45,000 behind leaders Henley.

The rest of the top five is made up by Stratford-upon-Avon, Shipston-on-Stour and Warwick.

The top ten has been compiled using a zed-Index where the average property value in a given area is based on current Zoopla Estimates.

Zoopla also estimates that prices in Kenilworth have risen £28,837 in the past 12 months - an increase of 7.44 per cent.

And of the 284 local properties sold in the last year the average cost was £425,419.

Of those, flats in Kenilworth sold for an average of £274,450 and terraced houses for £357,899.
