Warwickshire County Council Leader Cllr Izzi Seccombe has announced that the Warwickshire Local Welfare Scheme which has already provided over £450,000 of support to families through the Covid period, will continue to support the most vulnerable residents in Kenilworth and the rest of the county.

The Local Welfare Scheme has been in place in Warwickshire for many years and it is through this scheme that children who rely on free school meals will continue to receive financial support through the school holidays.

After the success of its PSA prostate cancer testing day at the United Reform Church in Abbey Hill last year, Kenilworth Lions had planned to repeat the scheme in 2020. However, due to the coronavirus pandemic this has not proved to be possible.

Instead, Kenilworth Lions have teamed up with the Graham Fulford Trust again to offer home testing kits to any male over 40 living in Kenilworth, Leek Wootton and Ashow.
