Two people certainly had their eye on the prize in a recent photographic competition in partnership with Nub News and Bunji Printing Limited.

Malcolm Hepple was selected as a clear winner with his picture perfect scene 'Morning Mist On The Grand Union Canal,' taken near his home village of Long Itchington in August.

Malcolm, 79, is a keen cyclist and so was delighted to be able to upgrade his 20-year-old bike with the new 21-speed Mountain Bike, which was awarded as part of his prize bundle, along with a 20x28-inch canvas created from his winning picture.

The retired press photographer and picture editor said: "I've played golf since retiring, until lower back pain sadly put a stop to that, so I decided to get the cameras back out again.

"I like the planning involved in finding out what's going to happen and when, such as sunsets or frost. I've got an app on my phone that tells me where the sun is going to rise and set.

"I do still like to get out on my bike as much as I can, probably two or three times a week now, so this is a wonderful prize."

Runner-up Alison Insley, from Kenilworth, also won a canvas of her photograph, a scene which she captured from a bridge over The River Avon on Banbury Road in Warwick.

She said: "As I cycle a lot of miles every morning, I am fortunate to witness some beautiful sights, sunrises, misty mornings and incredible views. I like to capture and share these because I know how much good this does for my mental well-being, so hopefully others can appreciate what I am fortunate to see and maybe appreciate why I go out early doors!"

The competition was launched by Bunji, on Heathcote Industrial Estate, to celebrate its joining the Bike2Work Scheme. The business has this year also been awarded rare FSC accreditation in a move which owner Steve Boyle claims is the 'ethical responsibility of businesses.'

The company specialises in all forms of printing across thousands of products. Commissions include working with Sporting House, an Olympian-founded organisation that delivers sports academies and coaching across the UK, including Beth Tweddle Gymnastics and Becky Adlington's Swim Stars.

It also lists among its sporting partners, England Netball and Volleyball and British Fencing, providing thousands of membership packs and branded items, from badges, awards and certificates through to clothing, goggles and drinks bottles, used at swim and gymnastics academies across the UK.

Owner Steve Boyle said: "It is great to see so many talented photographers and artists enter Bunji's competition and both the winner and runner-up produced something special. Congratulations to the worthy winners.

"We see so many fantastic pictures and designs as printers and personalisers of garments that we often overlook the stunning beauty that is the natural world around us. The two pictures in question really capture that."
