5. Food and Drink

Various local businesses have been launching coronation inspired food and drink ahead of this weekend.

Starting with Shakespeare Distillery which has crafted a completely new dry gin which has taken inspiration from the gin and dubonnet beloved by the late Queen and Queen Mother.

The Windmill Hill Brewing Company has brewed a 4% copper Coronation Ale that's "perfect for any party or event".

"Available in 40L casks and 20L bag-in-boxes, you can take the party with you wherever you go," the brewery said.

"Whether you're planning a street party, hosting an event, or just enjoying a pint at your local pub, our Coronation Ale is the perfect choice."

The Bear and Ragged Staff on Warwick Road will also be serving a special Coronation Ale to mark the event brewed by Greene King.

Award-winning burger slinger Libertine Burger has created its own special Coronation Chicken Tenders to mark the big occasion.

The Coronation Tenders are marinated in buttermilk for at least 12 hours then coated in Libertine's seasoning made of over 14 herbs and spices, before they're deep-fried to perfection.

In honour of King Charles III, they're served up with a coronation dip and pickled cucumber. The Coronation Chicken Tenders are available in any of Libertine's three shops - in Leamington Spa, Rugby and Stratford-upon-Avon, across the coronation weekend, from Friday 5 May to Sunday 7 May.

On top of that, everyone who orders them will get a special Libertine Crown so they really are king of the wings.
