A pub in Kenilworth will serve a special 'Coronation Ale' to mark the Coronation of King Charles III this weekend.

The King will be crowned, alongside Camilla, the Queen Consort, on Saturday May 6.

And the Bear and Ragged Staff on Warwick Road will be serving the special brew to mark the event.

The product is described as a "refreshing golden ale is crafted using a fusion of fragrant hops, resulting in a pleasantly hoppy aroma and flavour profile."

It has "bright tropical fruit notes and smooth, satisfying finish" according to brewer Greene King.

Many Greene King pubs - like The Bear and Ragged Staff - will be serving the special ale which is 4% ABV.

The pub group has a long tradition of brewing special beers for coronations and jubilees.

But if you want to try the new product, be quick, as once it is gone it is gone.

The town centre pub also offered drinkers during the 2022 World Cup the chance to enjoy a free pint - as long as their surname was the same as one of the players in the England or Wales squads.
