Tickets are now completely sold out for the screening of the coronation at Kenilworth Castle this weekend.

Some 2,000 tickets have been snapped up for the free show, with the castle one of three English Heritage properties set to broadcast the event.

The King will be crowned, alongside Camilla, the Queen Consort, on Saturday - Brodsworth Hall and Gardens in Yorkshire and Osborne House on the Isle of Wight will also be hosting large crowds to watch on the big screens.

And English Heritage spokesperson said: "The screening for the coronation is now fully sold out on Saturday 6 May.

"We are looking forward to hosting celebrations for the coronation weekend at Kenilworth Castle, a castle with royal associations for much of its 900 year history.

"We will be showing family friendly films on Sunday 7 and Monday 8 May in the grounds of the castle and tickets are still available for those days – please check our website for details.

"Also on the morning of Sunday 7 at 11am, we will see three local Kenilworth primary schools, Crackley Hall, Priorsfield and St. John's together with community choir Pop Voices, performing at the castle.

"Over 130 children and more than a hundred community singers will take part in the event which promises to be a real spectacle.

"English Heritage is delighted to be working with the local community to mark this momentous occasion and have been working hard with Kenilworth Town Council's Coronation planning group and the local choirs to plan for this very special weekend."

Kenilworth Castle is also set to have a wildflower meadow planted to mark the coronation.
