To celebrate the coronation of King Charles III, three local primary schools will be performing at Kenilworth Castle.
The King will be crowned, alongside Camilla, the Queen Consort, on Saturday, 6 May - with the event is set to be broadcast live at the castle.
The following day (Sunday, May 7) pupils from Crackley Hall, Priorsfield and St. John's, together with community choir Pop Voices, will perform at the town's main tourist attraction from 11am.
Organised by Kenilworth Town Council's coronation committee in collaboration with English Heritage, over 130 children and more than a hundred community singers will take part in the event.
Town clerk, Maggie Field said: "This event is a unique way for the people of Kenilworth to celebrate this momentous moment in British history, and what could be a more finer venue than Kenilworth Castle with it long association with the British royal family."
During the rest of the Sunday the large screen will show three different films.
The schedule for Sunday 7 May:
- 11am Coronation Celebration from Kenilworth school choirs
- 12:30pm The Lion King (1hr 30mins)
- 2:30pm The Kid who would be King (2 hours)
- 5pm The Greatest Showman (1hr 45mins)
Helen Lloyd, choir leader of Priorsfield school said: "The children are very excited to be taking part in this historic event.
"For them, like most of us, it is the first time a coronation has taken place.
"The children have been busy rehearsing the songs over the last few weeks and are looking forward to performing in front of an audience, with the spectacular Kenilworth Castle as a background.
"It will be an event to remember for the rest of their lives!"
Kenilworth Castle is also set to have a wildflower meadow planted to mark the coronation.
Matt Bulford of English Heritage added: "We are delighted to host celebrations for the Coronation weekend at Kenilworth Castle, a castle with Royal associations for much of its 900 year history.
"We are pleased to be working with Kenilworth Town Council, Pop Voices and the local primary schools of Crackley Hall, Priorsfield and St John's for this special event which promises to be a real spectacle."
More films will also be shown on the Bank Holiday Monday.
The schedule for Monday 8 May:
- 11am The Lion King (1hr 30mins)
