Kenilworth 2023 local elections guide

Residents will take to the polls today (May 4) to vote in new councillors for Kenilworth Town Council and Warwick District Council.

At the town council, locals will vote in 17 councillors across five wards.

Meanwhile at the district level there will be nine councillors elected across three Kenilworth wards.

Votes will be cast on Thursday, and the results will be announced on Friday following the count at NAEC Stoneleigh.

In Kenilworth voters can vote at:

  • The Queen and Castle pub
  • St Nicholas Church
  • St Barnabas Church
  • The Kenilworth Centre
  • Heart of England Revival Church
  • Kenilworth Methodist Church
  • Kenilworth School
  • The Tiltyard
  • St Francis of Assisi Church
  • Kenilworth Wardens Sports Club
  • Beauchamp Court Community Hall
  • St John's Church

Locals can find out which polling station they should go to, here.

The hours of poll for all elections are 7am to 10pm.

At the polling station you will:

  • Give your name and address to the staff inside the polling station when you arrive
  • Show your photo ID to confirm your identity.
  • You'll be given a ballot paper containing a list of the people you can vote for

For the first time ever, locals will have to show photographic ID in order to vote.

Which forms of ID can I use to vote?

  • Passport
  • Driving licence (including provisional license)
  • Blue badge
  • Certain concessionary travel cards
  • Identity card with PASS mark (Proof of Age Standards Scheme) 
  • Biometric Immigration document
  • Defence identity card
  • Certain national identity cards

Yesterday Nub News reported that local group leaders at WDC do not believe there will still not be a majority party at the council come Friday.
