Here are the headlines, and sports results from this week in Kenilworth

Due to the second national lockdown the Remembrance service in Kenilworth had to be cancelled this year. Residents were instead encouraged to mark the day with a two-minute silence from their doorsteps at 11am on Sunday, November 8 instead.

The Virgins and Castle have won a prestigious award courtesy of the British Institute of Innkeeping. The Heart of the Community Award has been given to them for their work for the local area during the first national lockdown.

Demonstrators have shown their feelings to Jeremy Wright MP over his decision to vote against a parliamentary motion to provide free school meals for children.

Second National Lockdown

Kenilworth Mayor Cllr Richard Dickson issues a statement to the community urging residents to show the same "sense of care and community" as was seen during the first national lockdown.

MP for Kenilworth and Southam has issued a statement concerning the government's decision to start a second national lockdown.

Kenilworth market will remain open for the second national lockdownbut for essential stalls only.

Public Health Warwickshire have issued a letter to parents as schools remain open for second national lockdown. The letter is reminding parents of the symptoms for Covid-19, and urging them to make sure their children remain responsible as schools and universities are set to remain open.

Kenilworth's recycling centre will stay open using the council's online booking system.

Having recently introduced a 'Grad and Go' system to allow customers to browse the shelves Kenilworth library is now reverting to the 'Click and Collect' system used during the first lockdown. Customers must now reserve their books online and then collect them from the library.
