Here are our top picks for the coming days.

1. Grand Medieval Day Out

'A Grand Medieval Day Out' is set to return to Kenilworth Castle this Early May Bank Holiday.

Taking place on Sunday 5 and Monday 6 May 2024, this event will bring together troupes of reenactors – including tradespeople, knights, and musicians – in a living history village within the grounds of the 900-year-old castle.

Live arena shows will take place through the day alongside musical accompaniment from the Middle Ages played by costumed musicians and a daring court jester delighting audiences with his tomfoolery.

2. Cinema Night

Kenilworth's independent cinema once again returns this Saturday (May 4).

'Till' is coming to the Talisman Theatre - get your tickets now!

'Till' is a profoundly emotional and cinematic film about the true story of Mamie Till-Mobley's relentless pursuit of justice for her 14 year old son, Emmett Till, who, in 1955, was lynched while visiting his cousins in Mississippi.

Mamie fights back and determinedly pursues a legal process against a profoundly prejudiced judicial system. In Mamie's poignant journey of grief turned to action, we see the universal power of a mother's ability to change the world.

3. Fringe

It's the first Thursday of the month today which means it is time for Talisman Fringe!

The monthly mixed bill returns to the Holiday Inn for two performances - at 7:30pm and 9pm

This edition's theme is 'Trains, Boats & Planes'.

Chris Carpenter and her team have complied a wonderful mix of, drama, comedy, poetry and song, all revolving around the theme of ‘Trains, Boats & Planes’.

4. KENFEST

The final few tickets are still available for KENFEST - the family-friendly beer festival at Kenilworth Rugby Club.

Only a few Friday night tickets are available for the return of the popular event - so make sure you don't miss out!

Featuring a range of real ales, lagers and ciders - plus craft gins and sparkling wines - along with street food and a variety of live music over the weekend, the event was also organised with the help of Warwick District Council.
