Here are the biggest Kenilworth planning stories from the past week.
Wetherspoon Rethinks
Fresh plans to turn the former Poundland in Kenilworth into a pub have been submitted by Wetherspoon after a previous scheme was withdrawn.
The pub giant withdrew its previous application in September stating there was a "discrepancy" in the plans and that it was simpler to "to resubmit rather than amend the application".
But now a new scheme has been put forward to Warwick District Council saying it "addresses the comments raised in the previous application in relation to noise and highways and follows informal discussions with the highway authority".
-------------
New Nature Trail
Plans to build a 'nature trail' in Balsall Common have been revealed by Solihull Metropolitan Borough Council.
The scheme could see a new, wider footpath built, ponds created and trees planted at the land at Frog Lane.
The council said the path would connect to the existing footpaths at Oakes Farm and would have fences separating the new route from surrounding farmland.
-------------
Petrol Station Proposal
A Kenilworth petrol station could have six new electric charging points and a canopy built if plans are approved.
A scheme to create the EV charging zone at the Shell garage on Warwick Road has been submitted to Warwick District Council by Motor Fuel Group.
The application says the plans will help meet the growing need for EV infrastructure and will "enhance the existing offer at the service station, without compromising the efficient operation of the facility".
-------------
Wasps Withdraw
Wasps have withdrawn plans to expand their Henley-in-Arden training ground as the club's future hangs in the balance.
They have pulled two applications to Stratford-on-Avon District Council to improve their Stratford Road Elite Performance and Innovation Centre.
-------------
Waitrose Vans
Waitrose home delivery vans can be loaded up earlier in Kenilworth after extended hours were approved by councillors.
But the new times will not apply to HGVs delivering to the Bertie Road store after the council's environmental health officer objected due to the extra noise they would generate.
Warwick District Council's planning committee agreed to the longer hours at their meeting this week with loading now allowed from 6am to 11pm seven days a week.
