A woman has been arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender following the alleged murder of a man in Kenilworth earlier this year.

Carl Stephens, 45, was found dead at a house in Chestnut Avenue just before midnight on Friday 20 March, triggering a murder investigation by Warwickshire Police.

Today (August 20), the force has arrested a 46-year-old woman from Kenilworth as part of the continued investigation.

She remains in custody.

Multiple other arrests have also been made during the investigation, and three people have also been charged.

A 51-year-old woman from Solihull arrested on suspicion of perverting the course of justice and a 72-year-old woman arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender, remain on bail pending further enquiries.

Lewis Dowling, 24, of Yarnfield Road, Birmingham, Patricia Dowling, 49, of Chestnut Avenue, Kenilworth and a 16-year-old boy from Kenilworth - who cannot be named for legal reasons - have all been charged with murder.
