Kenilworth Town Council

New residents could soon be given a 'Welcome to Kenilworth' leaflet when they move to the town, thanks to a new initiative from the council.

The town council is hoping works to install new speed bumps and reduce the speed limit outside a new housing development will be completed soon.

Warwick District Council

The district council is still working to find businesses to invest in a new employment zone on the edge of Kenilworth, which forms part of a major new housing development.

The huge rise in costs for Kenilworth's new swimming pools has been blamed on rising construction prices in the West Midlands.

A local resident has called on the council to bring some "unique architecture" to the town when it builds houses on the former Kenilworth School sites.

Harmonious discussions over Warwick District Council's budget took a twist over how to spend a last-ditch boost from government.

Around 79,000 email addresses of people living in South Warwickshire - including Warwick district - were leaked by a member of staff at Stratford-upon-Avon District Council last year.

Warwickshire County Council

WCC's February has been dominated by the ongoing row over the comments made by three Conservative councillors about SEND children.

An investigation is ongoing into the words of councillors Jeff Morgan, Brian Hammersley and Clare Golby at the end of January, with thousands of residents calling on them to resign.

Leader of the council has refused to sack them, but they have been removed from the Children & Young People's Overview & Scrutiny Committee, where they made the controversial comments.

The county council has also voted to approve a rise in council tax, but also agreed not to cut children and familes centres, recycling centres and reducing winter road gritting and school crossing patrols.

The bridge over the A46 at Stoneleigh will close for nearly two weeks next month, for works around the new junction.

Data from Warwickshire County Council suggests that more than a third of the county's 10 and 11-year-olds are overweight or obese

Car parking charges at Stratford Greenway Country Park are set to increase by up to a quarter – but prices have been frozen at other locations.

Locals are being asked to have their say on plans to paint more double yellow lines on roads around Kenilworth.

Bridleways and paths across Warwickshire could be changed in the next few years as the county council calls on local residents to share their views - and the consultation has now been extended.
