Drink driver who was twice over the legal limit charged after crash in Kenilworth

A 22-year-old man who was twice over the legal limit has been charged for drink driving following a crash in Kenilworth.

Warwickshire Police's Operational Policing Unit was called to a crash on Dalehouse Lane involving a silver Volkswagen late on Sunday (May 9) evening.

The driver, who is from Leamington, was unhurt but did provide a positive breath test and was found to be twice over the legal limit.

He was arrested and subsequently charged with drink driving.

He will appear at Coventry Magistrates on 25 May.
