Responsibilities

  • Project management and equipment vendor liaison.
  • Minimise downtime, lean manufacturing principles and plant reliability.
  • Maintain reports and inspection records of all associated plant equipment.
  • Collaborate with various departments to maintain mechanical integrity of all plant programs.
  • Ensure compliance to regulatory and legislative requirements.
  • Supervise and develop less experienced engineers and technicians.
  • Responsible for planning own work within a project.
  • Coordinating work with other professional engineers or support staff to meet specified project aims, based on a general approach set out by a Project Lead.
  • Contribute and own team discussions on problem-solving and work planning.
  • The impact of the role is mainly cross-functional with technical, Facilities, HSE functions.
  • The most challenging parts of the role include identifying the best approach to solving plant faults and creating concise engineering reports and recovery plans.

Tasks

  • Analyse all equipment requirements and assist in requisition of equipment.
  • Prepare reports and support manufacturing engineering in maintenance plans and activities.
  • Review and recommend improvements to procedures and perform troubleshooting on all plant activities.
  • Resolve issues and assist facilities to implement change.
  • Interface with Engineering departments
  • Validate systems and prepare required documents for all installation proves.

Knowledge skills and experience

Experience Required

  • 3 years relevant experience in a similar position
  • Working knowledge of PLM systems (PTC Windchill preferred, though training will be provided).
  • Practical experience in factory and site commissioning.
  • Experience in working with DI water, solvent process plant, compressed air, coolant systems, dehumidifiers, and other general plant services.
  • Experience of equipment used in lithium-ion battery product beneficial, not mandatory.
  • Knowledge of MES, software control systems and facilities management beneficial.

Skills Required

  • Excellent organisational skills to manage, multiple projects and technical information.
  • Strong communication and reporting skills. Technical engineering report writing skills (in English).
  • AutoCAD, Inventor, CREO, or similar CAD experience desired
  • Degree in Mechanical/Electrical/Chemical Engineering, or equivalent qualification
