Kenilworth are once again champions of the Warwickshire Ladies Veterans League.

Hoping to retain last year's title, the team went into their final Division One match needing a solid win over Warwick Tennis Club to stay ahead of rivals who were all playing on the same day.

The opponents put out a strong first pair and Kenilworth captain Kate Perkins and partner Mel Jennings had to battle from behind to take the first set before racing away with the second.

Meanwhile, second pair Sinead King and Carolyn Lindsay had a close victory over their counterparts.

After the changeover, Kate and Mel wrapped up another win while Sinead and Carolyn lost in a good battle - but the 6-2 result was enough to take the title with 52 points out of a possible 72.

Squad members Hannah Kingston, Julie Davies and Philippa Middup and thanks to captain Kate for leading us to another title!
