Wardens end season in style with win over Folly Lane

Wardens made it five league wins in a row with their final game of the season beating Folly Lane comfortably 4-0 to cement a top half table finish after being rock bottom at the midway point.
Kenilworth started the better of the two sides and made it count early on.
After they pressed high Jack Boden won the ball of the edge of the Folly Lane box and was fouled in the process, referee Darren Dickson waved play on and the only person to react was Dan Twigger, who ran through unchallenged and smashed in off the post.
Folly Lane's keeper kept them in the content for the next 10 minutes, with Eamonn Richards twice playing through Twigger for one-on-ones with the forward being stopped by excellent saves on both occasions.
Folly pushed to get back into the game but without making chances.
After a rare attack captain James Butler, making his 100th Wardens first team appearance, played to Boden on the left inside his half. Boden beat two players before hitting a long diagonal to Harrison Wright. He killed the ball on his chest, beat his man before putting a perfect cross to Twigger, whose volleyed attempt hit him in the face and the deflection beat the keeper.
Despite both teams having nothing to play for, the game started heating up with bad challenges flying in and on 30 minutes Richards was fouled inside the Folly half.
As he took the free kick verbals between Wardens stalwart Alex Cockburn and a Folly player saw the latter lash out for a clear penalty. Twigger finished into the bottom right corner for his 28th goal in 19 games this season.
A change of system for Folly Lane at half time immediately caused Wardens problems, but with Tom Day in goal left untroubled.
Kenilworth changed systems themselves and added a fourth on 60 minutes.
A clearance found Sol Bloomer on the left, he held the ball up, beat his man and laid it to Twigger 50 yards out from goal, Twigger bullied his way through three defenders before squaring to Wright who excellently smashed it into the bottom corner off the post for a deserved goal.
With the game running out of steam, both teams nearly scored. Folly Lane's captain took an incredible pot shot from 35 yards out which beat Day but was stopped by the bar and Bloomer had a shot well saved late on.
"Performance wise, it wasn't great," player-manager Richards said after the game.
"We allowed too many situations in the final third and missed too many chances. However, it was a clean sheet and a fifth win in a row which is what I asked for before the game.
"In the last 10 games no-one has had a better record than us, we've been amazing. These group of young lads will only get better too. I honestly love them all.
"Despite the challenges and the start of the season this has been my favourite season of managing lads in 12 years, I'm excited to see what we're going to do next year.
"Butler celebrated his 100th Wardens first appearance today and his vital to everything we do now, great guy, great footballer, great leader.
"Twigger has just recorded most goals in a season for wardens (28 in 19) and he's not only been the best player for us but the best player in the Coverty alliance by far in my opinion.
"Next season is exciting'
