Kenilworth Wardens are hoping to claim silverware for the second season in a row as they prepare for Saturday's (April 29) Stan Oulds Cup final against Coventry Copsewood.
Alongside clinching promotion to the Coventry Alliance Premier, the Glasshouse Lane outfit lifted the Bedworth Nursing Cup last campaign.
But if they are to take home another trophy from Hawkesmill Sports Ground this weekend, Wardens will have to overcome a Copsewood side they have already lost to twice this season.
"Copsewood are a great side and have beaten us convincingly twice this season," manager Eamonn Richards told Nub News.
"But they caught us at bad times in both games this season.
"You would probably still call them favourites, but we know if we set up in the right way, we will perform much better than in the previous two matches."
Having clinched promotion to the top division for the first time last season, Kenilworth were in uncharted waters this campaign.
Despite the higher standard of opposition this year however, they look set to finish near the top of the table.
And while a shot at the title was cut short, Richards said it has still been a fantastic season.
"We hoped we would be competing for trophies but I don't think that it was an expectation - I think we have exceeded expectations really," he added.
"Maybe there is a sense of disappointment that we haven't finished in a position to push for the league title, but if you had said at the start of the season this is where we would be, I would have said that is amazing."
And having received such great support for last year's final at the Bedworth Oval, the manager is urging locals to get behind his side on Saturday.
"Last year we had a third of what the opposition had but they out-sung them for 90 minutes, it was all we could hear on the pitch really," he said.
"It always feels better on the pitch when the crowd are celebrating every throw in and every tackle, and it is really demoralising for the opposition.
"What's great about the football club is it is a Kenilworth club with almost solely people from Kenilworth who are trying to create success for the town.
"The thing about people from Kenilworth is they take real pride in their town and we would hope people are proud that there is a group of local lads trying to excel under a Kenilworth name."
Kenilworth Wardens face Coventry Copsewood at Hawkesmill Sports Ground kick off 2.30pm.
